Originally from Wiltshire, England Mike has had a passion for golf from an early age. A successful amateur golf career included representing England in the Universities Home Internationals as well as captaining the Bournemouth University team to three straight Division 1 title's.
After earning a Business Management degree from the University of Bournemouth, Mike’s attention turned to coaching leading to enrolment on the PGA Training Program. Excelling during his training Mike was awarded PGA Trainee of the Year on two occasions.
Mike joined the academy from Trump International Golf Club, having been a member of the start-up team successfully establishing the Golf Academy. Before moving to Dubai, Mike was Senior PGA Professional at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club in London having previously learned his trade in America at the prestigious Jupiter Island Club in Florida, and The Misquamicut Club, Rhode Island.
Mike's holistic approach to coaching is based on understanding a player's movement capabilities and developing the movement patterns to compliment and maximise a players natural tendencies.
Mike still enjoys playing competitive golf alongside coaching, earning multiple victories on the UAE PGA Circuit.
